Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking to appoint a research assistant to work on a clinical trial of psychological support for people with personality disorder. This is the first every large-scale study to examine the effects of a low-intensity intervention for people with these difficulties. You will report to Dr Kate Saunders and will be part of a larger national team lead by Professor Mike Crawford at Imperial College London. The post is full time and is based in Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
The post is for a fixed term (funded to 30th September 2024).
You should have a first degree, (2:1 or above) in psychology or a relevant health and social care subject along with demonstrable experience of working with patients in healthcare settings. You should have knowledge of issues surrounding clinical data(confidentiality), along with knowledge of NHS Research Ethics Committee and R&D Application processes. Experience of working in clinical trials and with people with personality disorder/complex emotional needs would be desirable.
