Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Holbeck. Your job will be split between delivery driving and warehouse work depending on the needs of the business. This includes varied delivery runs predominantly to building sites in Leeds, Bradford, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Hull and the surrounding areas as well as further afield such as Midlands, East Anglia and London.
Key duties and responsibilities....

• Loading/Unloading Vans
• Delivery Driving
• Delivery Van Maintenance
• Operating the forklift truck
• Goods In
• Picking & Packing Orders
• Operating the forklift truck
• Shelf replenishment
• Operating chop saw/ band saw

Requirements:

• A good track record of driving delivery vans and a great sense of responsibility aimed at safety of vehicles and goods.
• Demonstrate the ability to act logically and quickly in adverse situations as wells as being well-versed in reading maps and handling GPS.
• We are looking for someone with exceptional customer service skills who can communicate a positive image
• A keen understanding of handling basic vehicle maintenance and repair tasks as required.

Benefits:

• Salary- £20,000- 25,000
• Plus £3,00-£5,000 bonus per annum
• Allowance for lunches/staff canteen
• You will be contracted to work 47.5 hours per week and start times can vary from 6am – 8am
