Role Overview & Responsibilities

UK Athletics (UKA), the national governing body for the Olympic and Paralympic sport of Athletics, has an exciting opportunity to gain experience working in the World Class Programme Operations team this summer.

The successful candidate will support in all the logistics areas involved in organising and planning for British teams to compete at international championships and competitions this summer. Along with administrative duties, some physical work will be required, packing, and loading kit and this will include the need to drive a car or hire van.

Candidates will ideally have some previous administrative experience but proactive candidates showing energy and enthusiasm will also be considered. Candidates will be fluent users of Microsoft Office applications and will possess excellent writing and communication skills. The successful applicant will be highly organised and able to work independently. An interest in or knowledge of elite sport would be useful.

Please note that this is a fixed term consultancy contract. Your workplace will be split between the Loughborough Performance Centre and Alexander Stadium, Birmingham. You may also be required to work occasional weekends and/or evenings.
