You will be operating within our newly formed Cloud and Platform Services team, who manages TSB’s multi-cloud environments, cloud providers and operators to develop an efficient ecosystem, fully automated, leveraging cloud native technology and fit for the future to ensure the full benefits of cloud technology for our business.

<br><br>

You'll be based in London or Edinburgh however will work flexibly between home and our office. If working remotely is new to you, don’t worry, we’ll give you the support and equipment you need to get step up, including a company laptop. In return we ask that you have a suitable environment to work without distraction and a consistent internet connection (download speed – 10mbps; upload speed – 3mbps).

<b>You will be empowered and expected to:</b><br>

Be confident in providing and articulating end-to-end solution architecture that meet business requirements, follow the AWS Well-Architected Framework, comply with industry regulation and standards, and align to TSB principles

<br><br>

Understand ITIL principles and comfortable operating in a Service integration and management (SIAM) environment

<br><br>

Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices

<br><br>

Lead implementation of the solution and oversee the development efforts and provide technical help as needed

<br><br>

Have a strong sense of ownership and initiative, and eager to control cloud costs, provide improvement suggestions for service and pricing, propose solutions and influence architectures in line with technical best practises.

Be open, transparent, and proactive collaborator across TSB organisation

<br><br>

What we need today

<br><br>

To make sure you’re set up for success you’ll already have these skills and experience:

<br><br>

Architecting highly available, highly scalable, performant solutions in AWS ecosystems

<br><br>

Working in Agile driven delivery lifecycle methodologies and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Integration (CI) and automated deployment

<br><br>

Familiar with CI/CD and scripting tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Packer, Docker, Helm, PowerShell, Terraform, CloudFormation …ETC)

<br><br>

Deep understanding in cloud, mainly AWS, related core services, such as Compute, Networking, Storage and CDN, Database on EC2/RDS, Lambda, Microservices, Kubernetes, Route53, load balancers, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Serverless, AWS Direct Connect and IAM

AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (Required)

Participate in change projects, from an operational perspective, plan and build operational capability for both the current and future environments.

<br><br>

Provide 3rd line support for Cloud Infrastructure components to resolve incidents, improves performance and availability, problem solves complex integration issues and implements automation

<br><br>

Develop and implement cost optimisation strategies and guidelines.

<br><br>

Ensure the infrastructure is secure, manage data and system availability, access control and service continuity to agreed standards.

<br><br>

Develop and implement Cloud deployments (Public & Private), service Continuity, disaster recovery and site replication solutions

<br><br>

Evolve our smart Monitoring & Alerting for Capacity & performance optimisation

<br><br>

Be the subject matter expert in all cloud services related matter within TSB

<br><br>
