Role Overview & Responsibilities

Role Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for effectively managing all maintenance activities at the site maintaining mechanical & electrical integrity.
Maintenance Responsibilities
  • Ensure reactive, preventative and proactive maintenance is carried out to optimise the utilisation of the equipment.
  • Support the preparation and management of the capital budget for the plant including execution and cost control.
  • Provide maintenance support for the facility.
  • Coordinate contractors for the facility.
  • Maintain and construct safe facilities and strive for an injury-free work environment with high employee involvement in line with ISO 45001.
  • Maintain environmental compliance relative to maintenance and project activities in accordance with ISO 14001.
  • Establish, maintain and audit routines for all maintenance aspects of the facility, within a quality framework accreditable to internationally recognised standards.
  • Recruit, train, develop and motivate a team of reliable and qualified personnel to maintain the facility.
  • Control the selection, contract placement and ongoing control of all contractors on site.

  • Have proven experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work with data, systems, and processes to make informed business decisions.
  • Experience of people management, with a proactive approach to change management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage challenging situations.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, tenacity and clear thinking.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
