Kitchen Assistant - The Silver Cup

Built in 1838, The Silver Cup is well and truly woven into the heritage of Harpenden. Over 150 years on, it retains its charm & character whilst adopting an environment that embodies the life and soul of the community and the people within it.

In 2019 The Silver Cup was reopened by local founders Matthew Reeder and Michael Singleton. We don’t believe that good food should just be for the rich and famous. Their aim is to create a special experience for customers that brings the traditions of a classic British Public House whilst putting a contemporary twist on quality seasonal food and drink.

Having recently been named the Best Pub in Hertfordshire, recognised by Hardens & mentioned within the Good Food Guide, we are looking for the people to help us achieve more.

We are looking for a positive and energetic kitchen Assistant/porter, who is organised, fast-paced and takes pride in their work.

Candidate Duties

Your role will be a combination of pot and dish washing, general cleaning, assisting and communicating with the chefs during service, plus being able to help the front of the house team.

There is plenty of space to grown within our team, and if you want to learn how a busy kitchen works, this is a great place to learn.

You must be available to work Fridays and Weekends

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 - 35 per week

Salary: £9.00-£13.00 per hour
