Gym Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

At The Movement Gym we are very passionate about fitness and wellbeing. As we are an independently owned gym, we are able to provide a much more personal experience with our members, which we feel is imperative to maintaining a friendly and helpful gym facility for everyone.

We are looking for a smart and vibrant addition to the team to work at reception and on the gym floor, and ensure our members are extremely satisfied with our service.

You also need to be:

Hard working
Energetic and sociable personality
Good written and spoken English skills
Confident while speaking on the phone
The ability to be pro-active in order to get things done and improve efficiency
Computer literate
Willing to perform cleaning duties whilst on shift
Being able to sell products such as supplements, food and drink
Able to cash up at the end of the shift
As part of your role you will be responsible for ensuring that current members’ are scanned in upon entry and also be competent in signing up new members to our database. Training will be provided upon successful application.

The gym opening times are as follows:
Monday - Friday 06:00 - 21:00
Saturday - Sunday 08:00 - 14:00

*Shifts will operate within the above hours and split into 6/7/8 hour shifts
*Applicants must be willing to work mornings, evenings and/or weekends.
*Split shifts also possible.
