Role Overview & Responsibilities
Exciting opportunity in Telecoms! Exciting vacancy in Stevenage Warehouse: Picking Controller with salary of £25K per annum.The successful candidate in this role will :
- Oversee and control the Picking process & preparing of all orders, stock counts, some rework of products, managing the team and the order processing and general warehouse duties.
- Within the role of, you will be a key team player in the packing of multi-ship orders. You will need to do this fast and efficiently and most important accurately.
- You will also be using a variety of warehouse control systems for all operations including, picking, packing, despatch and shipping. Within this role you will be required to manual handle heavy goods.
- As the Picking Controller you should be highly motivated, be able to work on your own initiative ensure the team are fully utilized and are meeting daily pick targets set.
- Have a good level of computer literacy.
- Have good numeracy skills.
- Have good verbal communication skills.
- Experienced in working under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Good punctuality and attendance are essential.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Packing customer orders at packing stations using Warehouse computer system. Must be able to manually handle heavy goods.
- Picking items using a handheld terminal, ready for packing and dispatch.
- Locate products and return products to pick locations with handheld terminals.
- Have responsibility for quality assurance and housekeeping.
- Liaising with the wider Warehouse team.
- Other ad-hoc warehouse duties. Assist in audits and all stock checking requirements.
- All tasks shall be carried out whilst ensuring the use of safe working practices in compliance with the Health and Safety work Acts.
- Ability to work with others in a team and under direction.
- High attention to detail and a quick learner.
- Hardworking, flexible, and reliable.
- Good communication & computer skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and multitask.
- Other ad hoc assignments as and when necessary.
