Role Overview & Responsibilities

The Arts in Health team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals are looking for a new Arts Activities Officer.

The role will involve supervising a team of volunteers to deliver creative sessions to patients to improve their experience of being in hospital and contribute to their recovery. The post-holder will be responsible for scheduling activity sessions and developing activities.

We are looking for an energetic and creative individual who is well organised and has the ability to support and supervise volunteers. The role will be a busy one with a team of around 40 volunteers and activity sessions being run currently across around 40 wards and departments.

You need to be passionate, dynamic, highly motivated and a great team player. You will have experience of delivering art workshops and working with volunteers. You need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships internally and externally as well as excellent IT and administrative skills.

The Arts in Health programme works to improve the health care environment for patients, visitors and staff through the use of all forms of visual and performing arts.
