At Sew Creative, we are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join our team.
This role is for a Sales Assistant position so the main responsibilities are:
- Sewing up samples from dressmaking patterns.
- Delivering sales through friendly and efficient customer service.
- Offering well-informed advice and selling sewing machines to customers is a priority.
- Working in a team to run the social media for the shop.
- Assisting the Shop Manager with daily tasks, i.e. ordering stock for the shop, putting in windows.
- Measuring and cutting fabric for customers on a daily basis.
- Advising customers with their creative projects.
- Regularly answering the phone and emails to customers.
- Updating the website and fulfilling online orders
- Maintaining a tidy and presentable shop.
Role requirements:
- Must be able to sew.
- Must be friendly and confident when serving customers.
- Knowledge and experience of sewing with machines.
- Knowledge and experience of different kinds of sewing projects, i.e. dressmaking, quilting.
- Knowledge of different kinds of fabrics.
- Customer service/retail experience is highly desirable.
- Knitting/Crochet experience is desirable.
- Feel confident in using social media platforms, i.e. Instagram, Facebook.
This role is 4 days per week in the shop. Must be able to work Wednesday, Friday and Saturday - we are flexible with the fourth day.
