Role Overview & Responsibilities
Sertec are currently recruiting for 8 apprentice engineers in different areas:
- Level 3 Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineering Apprenticeship
- Level 3 Quality Engineering Apprenticeship
- Level 3 Toolmaker and Tool & Die Maintenance Technician
The Apprentice Maintenance Engineer will take part in several core duties including carrying out basic planned maintenance tasks to press tooling, repairing breakdowns, and improvement activities.
The Quality Apprentice will carry out required inspections in line with QRC's and GIS, use of basic measure equipment including Vernier's and Micrometers and more.
The Toolmaker apprentice will take part in several activities including improvement activities, basic jig and fixture manufacturing, lifting and moving press tools for repair, and carrying out basic planned maintenance tasks.
The apprenticeships are 4 year programmes, with the first year being spent primarily in college learning, and the remaining time primarily in-company with one day per week at college.
