Role Overview & Responsibilities

RSK Group is one of the UK’s largest environmental geotechnical and contaminated land consultancies.

Due to continued growth in the topographical survey department, we now have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Land Surveyor to join our Addlestone team, who currently provide surveying services to support our clients in the property, civil engineering, oil and gas, nuclear, renewable energy, water and transport sectors in the UK and overseas.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and ambitious individual to join an already thriving business and start or develop their career as they build on RSK’s established success.

Responsibilities will Include:

  • Assisting our Land Surveyors in data collection though multiple practices:
  • Topographical Surveys & Terrain modelling
  • Measured Building and 3D scanning
  • Learning to process data in survey software and finalise in AutoCAD
  • Undertaking any other activities required to help our land surveyors complete their works
  • Completing site documentation for site work crews
  • Learning technical knowledge to further develop into a land surveying career
  • Drafting data or help finalising reports.
  • Other duties that may include organising equipment and store room, van checks and keeping equipment maintained.

What we are looking for:

This role will appeal to someone who is interested in starting or already started a career in the land surveying industry and someone who enjoys the variety of working outdoors and in the office. As a minimum the candidate will have strong written and verbal English skills, with GCSE’s in Mathematics and English with a good understanding of Microsoft software such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Recent graduates will be look upon favourably.

    • Candidates should be hardworking, flexible and conscientious.
    • Strong work ethic and desiring to learn new skills.
    • Full UK Driving Licence
    • Reasonable IT Skills
    • Flexibility of working away from home and occasionally out of hours

Advantageous

    • Experience using AutoCAD.
    • Experience using Microsoft software such as Excel, Word etc.
    • GCSE in mathematics
    • Already have an understand/knowledge of surveying principals.

Salary – £competitive depending on experience.

Location: Addlestone office.
