Warehouse Shift Supervisor

We are looking for Warehouse Shift Supervisor to join our brand-new distribution site based in Aylesbury (HP22)

• 40 hours per week
• Permanent position
• Monday to Friday…no weekend working
• Working a PM SHIFT
• No bank holiday working required

Our new distribution site is Brand New and will be our state-of-art flagship site for the UK operation, as the site is new you will really be able to make this job your own, from overseeing the team output to process implementation and everything in between.

Warehouse Shift Supervisor role starts from September 2022 – Site opens in November 2022

As a Warehouse shift supervisor, you will oversee the shift operation, you will supervise a team of up to 50 colleagues , work alongside the Warehouse manager to monitor picking rates, control shortfall and picking errors and provide coaching to ensure service levels are achieved to achieve distribution greatness

Ideally you will need to come from a warehouse/distribution background, solid experience of supervising both permanent & temporary workforce , good understanding of inductions & coaching alongside a drive & passion to be part of a new site set up.

Warehouse Shift Supervisor :The Role;

• Manage a team of warehouse operatives to ensure their daily tasks are completed meeting the daily OTIF KPI.
• Plan and execute the day-to-day operational activities ensuring that picks, packs and despatches for distribution are managed effectively.
• Coach, motivate and develop your team to achieve objectives and comply with Company policies and procedures, addressing any shortfalls in performance.
• Practice and use lean principles to improve processes and remove non-value-added tasks & processes.
• To facilitate effective communication, across the shift through regular feedback and ensuring team briefs are conducted which ensure all colleagues are informed of site changes and have up to date business information.
• Ensure site security measures are enforced with staff and housekeeping standards, are met and maintained in line with Health & Safety and Quality Standards, taking prompt and appropriate action if any issues are identified.

Warehouse Shift Supervisor :The Person;

• Previous experience of leading a team delivering against a targeted productivity
• Experience of working in an evolving environment where no two days are the same.
• Health & Safety awareness and understanding, and a commitment to safe working practices
• Ability to define performance measures, analyse data to improve operation and reduce costs
• Demonstrable experience working in a warehouse environment to include pick and pack, order consolidation and bulk dispatch.
• Experience of working in a service lead time critical environment where quality and productivity are equally
• Demonstratable experience of working in an IT lead process environment
