Role Overview & Responsibilities

My client, an industry leader in gas engineering and distribution, is looking to hire a Senior Laboratory Analyst to join their team at their site based in Morden, Greater London.<br><br>As a Senior Laboratory Analyst, based in Morden, you will have approval and release of UKAS accredited products for sale, including the detailed review of data prior to certificate write off. You will be responsible for the oversight and technical direction of laboratory analysts and activities to ensure certifications are correctly performed and issues of method validation, revalidation and data integrity are addressed as necessary, including the training and performance monitoring of laboratory analysts. You will ensure Medical and Pharmaceutical products are compliant with GMP, Pharmacopoeia and customer specifications.<br><br>You will provide advanced analytical and technical expertise to design, develop and implement new projects and provision of technical support around laboratory equipment, including responsibility of analysis, servicing and maintenance. You will evaluate, specify and select new equipment new analytical equipment to maintain and enhance business capability, whilst providing development of documented uncertainty budgets compliant with ISO Guide to Uncertainty of Measurement.<br><br>The ideal Senior Laboratory Analyst candidate, based in Morden will have detailed knowledge of analytical instrumentation and techniques. You will have ideally achieved a Masters degree in Chemistry, with analytical bias preferable, or equivalent experience. You will have detailed knowledge of statistical techniques measurement uncertainty and traceability issues. You have the ability to work in a team environment as a leader of team member, but also highly self-motivated to work without close supervision.
