About the Role
Blandford Medical Centre is recruiting an experienced receptionist to join our expanding team on a full-time basis, for 37 hours a week, or we would be willing to consider taking on two staff members, on a part-time basis.
- Greeting and directing all patients;
- Making appointments and giving out appointment cards, where required;
- Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.;
- Dealing with requests for information, and managing problems and complaints;
- Advising patients of practice procedures;
- Registering new patients;
- Answering the telephone, promptly.
About the Candidate
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure whilst still providing exceptional care and empathy for our patients. Experience with SystmOne or general practice would be advantageous, but is not essential as full training will be given.About Us

Our dedicated team are here to treat minor ailments as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues.
