Salary: £30,000pa + Bonus

Location: Prezzo Support Centre (Islington, London) usually 3 days per week, 2 days remote.

The Role:

As a Junior Buyer, you will be responsible for the development of a fit-for-purpose supply base by creating and implementing strategic Category Plans across relevant categories.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Accountable for the Procurement and Supply Chain of Directs categories including Food, Beverages, and Non-Food items.
• Work with Internal Stakeholders to understand and deliver solutions for customers and operations teams.
• Embed Category Management to initiate and implement strategic plans for key food, drink and non-food categories across the group.
• Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.
• Develop, negotiate and administer purchasing agreements with supplier partners in support of organisational requirements and Category Plans.
• Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply of purchases ensuring the best value proposition for the Group.
• Utilise tendering processes and make recommendations based on commercial, market, business and technical factors.
• Measure the performance of suppliers.
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
• Control spend and build a culture of long-term benefits based on the total cost of ownership.
• Monitor ongoing compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to execute projects / new menu launches / new product development.
• Work with relevant external stakeholders to manage stock and supply chain requirements.

Main Accountabilities:

• The implementation of successful procurement practices that ensure reduced overall costs and improved productivity.
• Assess supply chain efficiency, find ways to reduce expenditure
• Meet suppliers to negotiate prices and contracts.

Experience Required:

• 1-2 years of relevant Procurement experience appropriate to our market and the categories (primarily food and drink)
• OR Graduate or similar, keen to work within a fast-paced Procurement and Supply Chain function
