Job description

Directorate: Children’s Services

Starting salary: Level 3:- £21,575 per annum pro rata

Location: Based in North Somerset

Contract: Casual, term time only

Closing date: Tuesday 09 May 2023


The Short Breaks team is looking to recruit 3 enthusiastic and motivated Playworkers to be part of a team supporting specialist and community-based activity days across North Somerset for children and young people aged 5 to 18, often on a 1-1 basis. All this work will be during school holidays and occasional Saturdays in term time.


The post holders will assist in delivering activities to children and young people with a wide range of needs. You will work closely with the SENDCAS Team Leaders and will be required to comply with standards set by Ofsted. Good communication skills, flexibility and being a team player are essential for this post. Please read the job description for further details on the role.
