We are now remobilising Elective Orthopaedics following 2 years of disruption and are looking for a Band 3 HCSW to join our team in ward 26/27. 27 is our elective ward and 26 is trauma stepdown. We have a reputation for being friendly and welcoming, whilst working in a busy environment and we are looking for a caring, hardworking colleague to join us.

The Orthopaedic Unit in Glasgow Royal Infirmary delivers a varied range of specialist surgeries for fractures/injuries and elective Orthopaedic surgery for the North Sector and the unit comprises of 60 Trauma Receiving, 16 Elective and 11stepdown beds, Fracture and Orthopaedic clinics.

<br>You will require excellent communication skills, the ability to plan multiple tasks whilst being interrupted, the ability to anticipate and plan workload that delivers a high standard of care to a vulnerable group of patients and the ability to work in a team ensuring that dignity and safety are preserved. The successful applicant will require previous healthcare experience as an extended role is required.
