Role Overview & Responsibilities

Clinical Development Fellowships (CDFs) – Acute Internal Medicine

Full time (40 hours per week)

Fixed term until 1st August 2023, with possibility of extension.

Salary Scale - £36,472 - £57,349 per annum (pro rata if part time)

Applications are invited for the position of Clinical Development Fellow (CDF) in Acute Internal Medicine. These posts comprise a clinical role working in the Acute Medicine Department at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in conjunction with one day per week of professional and departmental development time.

This would suit candidates who have recently completed or about to finish either UK Foundation Programmes or Core Medical Training and have been assessed as being competent in delivering acute medical care under supervision. The post will give successful applicants the opportunity to gain experience in Acute Medicine before committing to CMT, ACCS or indeed higher specialty training in Acute Medicine, or would provide a professional development adjunct if interested in another non-acute specialty longer term.

Applicants are encouraged to visit the Department and meet key staff. Informal enquiries should be directed to Dr Lindsay Reid, Consultant in Acute and General Medicine on lindsay.reid@nhs.scot or via the Acute Medicine Secretary, Michelle Kydd, on 01324 567462

To apply for this post, please visit the job posting on the NHS Scotland Job Train website.

Applicants should have full GMC registration and a licence to practise.
