Dorchester Living is searching for their next apprentices to join their team at their development at Heyford Park, Bicester, Oxfordshire which is a former US and RAF airbase which they are transforming into a modern take on the traditional countryside village.

We’re looking to recruit candidates with a great attitude to work and learn and be part of a great team. A strong communicator, self-starter with a passion to learn and grow yourself, with commitment and positivity.

You'll:

• Carry out general painting and decorating tasks within domestic and commercial premises.
• Will gain learning in domestic, period properties delivering mid to high end interior and exterior decorating services including wallpapering.

Learn many techniques, such as:

• Masking and protecting surfaces prior to painting.
• Preparing surfaces.
• Applying various paint coverings using brush and roller.
• Hanging wall coverings.

Be expected to ensure all jobs are left clean and tidy and you will develop your communication skills so you can always deliver excellent customer service to a wide variety of clients.

Entry requirements

GCSE or equivalent Maths & English (Grade 4-9)

You'll be required to have your own transport or the ability to travel to site location in Bicester and College in Milton Keynes.

Training to be provided

During your apprenticeship you will gain 1:1 tuition from a time served professional which will enable you to become a highly competent painter and decorator.

You will attend Milton Keynes College one day per week and achieve a Level 2 Painter and Decorator qualification.
