Responsibilities:
- Maintain access control to 21 MF loading bay.
- Act as a deterrent to unauthorised access into DB premises via the loading bay, politely challenge and re-direct visitors and staff who do not have valid access.
- Remain vigilant at all times to safeguard the security of all personnel and assets within DB premises.
- To deal with the client and the clients staff in a professional, effective and customer engaging manner.
- At all times ensure that the loading bay under your care is well presented, clean and tidy, in good repair and condition by way of reporting maintenance issues as required.
- Escalate and report any/all security breaches immediately
- Respond to emergency situations and assist with emergency building evacuations when necessary.
- Adhere to the Equal Opportunities/Health and Safety policies on behalf of both MITIE and the client.
- Ensure that the log books for the loading bay under your care are present, completed and up to date.
- Maintain clear, concise radio and telephone communication to colleagues and MITIE management at all times.
- Ensure all courier deliveries and contractors vehicles are dealt with correctly and access control maintained at all times.
- Report immediately any/all equipment faults to the relevant vendor, providing correct details and in a timely manner.
- Provide first aid if required when responding to an emergency medical situation.
- Any other duty deemed relevant by line management or contract management.
The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive. The Loading Bay Security Officer position requires a flexible approach to responsibilities in order to meet the fluctuating demands of the client.
