Role Overview & Responsibilities
Who You'll Work With
You will be an integral member of the firm U.S. recruiting team and North American recruiting community.
You will collaborate closely with the recruiting team, office leadership and campus sourcing teams to lead recruiting strategy and candidate life cycle recruiting efforts for the office location. You will also work with the broader associate and undergraduate recruiting teams, global office and practice counterparts to continue to innovate McKinsey’s recruiting strategy.
You will be based in either Cleveland, Detroit, or Pittsburgh.
What You'll Do
You will be a strategic leader responsible for driving and managing all aspects of recruiting for associates, business analysts, summer associates and summer business analysts.
In this role, you will lead all recruiting efforts to attract, assess and cultivate talent from core and emerging sources. This includes identifying and building personal relationships with target candidates, managing a high volume of applications and leading and/or supporting large scale interview days, and cultivating relationships in celebrations events.
You will also be responsible for tracking and analyzing recruiting results and disseminate all relevant information relating to your efforts including developing annual analysis of recruiting results against historical and competitive benchmarks and identifying strategies to improve recruiting initiatives.
There is flexibility to hire on a different level depending on your experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Strong analytical/numerical ability including high degree of comfort with Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong strategic thinker; ability to see and manage 'the big picture' while driving impact on specific initiatives
- Proactive problem solver capable of identifying issues and generating solutions; desire and energy to continuously improve recruiting processes
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Demonstrated initiative, judgment and maturity; mindful of external reputation and caring with confidential information
- Ability to build great relationships with candidates, consultants at all levels and recruiting colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple streams of work independently; comfortable working with minimal direction
- Flexibility to deal with last minute changes; ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work overtime as required and willingness to travel to campus as needed
