Role Overview & Responsibilities

As we approach mothers day and Easter it is time for me to start thinking about hiring somebody on a part time basis to help out. I am looking for somebody who I can train up and who can learn how to make each of our chocolate bars, be able to hand temper chocolate and help out with packing up occasionally. I need someone who can work fast and is highly motivated, once the chocolate is in temper there is only a short window to make all the bars and get the toppings on before it sets and should the chocolate begin to set in the bowl the batch is wasted! A high attention to detail is also required as it is essential that each bar looks perfect for the customer.

No experience is required and full training will be given, it’s ideal for college/uni students looking for some part time work. To begin with I am looking at 2/3 days a week but as the business grows especially in the lead up to Easter this this will quickly increase. Although no experience is required evidence of creativity/ some baking skill would be amazing, even if this is just a love for home baking.

I am based from my home in Hullbridge so you must be able to get to/from here and driving is preferred but is not essential. My kitchen has a 5 star food health and hygiene rating so it is essential that you are able to work within food safety and hygiene requirements as your main role will be in the production of chocolates. If you are successful you may be required to complete an online food health and hygiene course (payed for by me)

The ideal candidate will also be someone who is interested in bringing they’re ideas forward for new bars ect,

The pay is still to be determined but will be anywhere from £10/12 an hour, depending on age, ability and experience. The job is also extremely flexible to whichever days you are free and can be arranged to fit with your current schedule.

If I think you are a good candidate you will be contacted and invited along for a payed trial day to see if you are a good match.
