Role Overview & Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for motivated and committed candidates to apply for an 8a post, to work into the Paediatric Metabolic Teams at both Leicester Royal Infirmary and Queen's Medical Centre.

This post will contribute to the development of an integrated clinical service, for children and young people with Inherited Metabolic Disorders within the East Midlands Paediatric Metabolic Service (EMPMS). The post holder will offer a high quality specialist clinical psychology service to children, young people with children and young people with metabolic and associated neuropsychological presentations. There will be lots of opportunities for multi-disciplinary working with medical and allied health professionals in the teams. The post holder will be involved in training, consultation and supervision.

The successful candidate will receive their own management and supervision within Paediatric Psychology and Neuropsychology. This will ensure the specialist supervision needed for the two aspects of the role. Both teams, are well established and cover a range of other medical teams and the post holder will be supported in future CPD and training.
