JOHN PENNY & SONS - Farmers, Butcher and Wholesale Meat Packers

Our meat processing plant handles beef, pork and lamb. We supply to a wide range of customers from butchers’ shops to catering suppliers and wholesalers across the country with an extensive variety of meat cuts.

We have immediate vacancies for the following position:

Meat Packers

Mon to Fri, negotiable start times between 3am and 6am

Daily bonus for early starts. Occasional Saturday working required.

Excellent rates of pay depending on ability and experience, minimum of £10.75ph

The successful candidates must have experience, adaptability, and a good work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Manual packing of beef, lamb and pork cuts in preparation for distribution to customers
• Ensure the product is packed in the correct bags / containers
• Use specific machinery and equipment to vacuum pack, label and box products
• Ensuring that all workspaces are sanitary and meet strict health guidelines

About you:

• Attention to detail - must ensure products are packed and labelled correctly
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A good understanding and ability to communicate in English language
• Must have own transport / means to get to site
• Flexible in your ability to work on your own or within a team.
• Enjoy working to targets.
• Be available for 42.5 hours per week
• No experience required as training will be given
