Role Overview & Responsibilities

J&D Pierce contracts would like to advertise the position of ‘’safety net rigger’’ to join our current work force.

The position will require experienced operative to carry out the following tasks

  • Preparing and operating Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP), including both scissor and boom types
  • Installing, dismantling, maintaining and inspecting safety nets
  • Installation of tube and fitting handrail to FASET guidance
  • Installation of combi safe net barrier system
  • Erection and dismantling of access stair case’s
  • Installation of roof safety line systems
  • Safety net repair
  • Loading and unloading lorries and equipment containers
  • Complying with health and safety requirements
  • Working in accordance with method statements and risk assessments
  • Working onsite in all weather.
  • Working away from home will be required to suit company requirements

Qualifications required for the position

  • FASET safety net rigger minimum NVQ level 2
  • FASET edge protection installer
  • FASET stair tower installer
  • FASET net repair training (though not essential training will be provided)
  • Combi safe net barrier installer
  • IPAF 3a&3b minimum
  • Full UK drivers licence
  • Roof safety line installation qualification (training will be provided for our specified systems)

Working hours

  • Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm
  • Friday – 8am – 3:30pm
  • Weekends – may be required to ensure deadlines are achieved
  • Travel time will be honoured
  • Salary negotiable dependant on experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Experience:

  • safety Rigging: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
