Production Operative

A leading, innovative, producer of high-quality crops in the Southeast of England and Spain, we currently employ 60 full time and up to 80 seasonal staff during peak season, based at our headquarters near Deal in Kent. We are seeking to appoint committed, enthusiastic individuals to the position of:

Factory Production Operative

Based in our expanding salad packing facility, reporting into Line Leaders. We are looking for general workers, especially those with the potential to develop into higher paid skilled roles such as Quality Assurance, Dispatch and Forklift, Machine Operators and Line Leaders. We are expanding our operation considerably in 2023, which means there will be many opportunities to grow and develop with us.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:

· Working efficiently in a high-paced salad packing facility.

· Adhering to all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.

· Making, labelling & packing boxes, moving pallets and handling salad products.

· Cleaning of the factory environment and equipment to meticulous hygienic specifications.

· Any other duties as required.

There are a variety of different shifts with different working patterns including:

Day Operatives Rate of pay: £11.08 per hour for the first 48 hours per week, overtime rate is £13.85 per hour.

Working patterns can be:

· Set two days off per week between Monday – Sunday. You will be expected to work at least one weekend day.

· Four days working, 2 days off work pattern.

Day Shifts are typically 07:00 – 18:00. These hours are subject to change.

Night Operatives Rate of pay: £11.64 per hour for the first 48 hours per week, overtime rate is £14.55 per hour.

Set two days off per week between Monday – Sunday. You will work a maximum average of 8 hours per shift calculated over 17 weeks.

Night shifts are typically 18:00 – 03:00. These hours are subject to change.

Desirable:

· Experience in the food industry.

· Forklift truck licence.

· Experience in a production environment.

· Logistics experience.

· Machine Operator experience.

· Proficient spoken and written English.
