Brief overview of the role:
Apprentice IT Software Support, Testing and Development Technician to join a well-established company that provides a full range of EPOS systems, credit card terminals and warehouse software to healthcare clients i.e. NHS, pharmacies and chemists . Each EPOS order includes programming, onsite installation, and professional training.
Working week:
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Duties will include the following:
Using Windows 10 and 11 operating systems
Hardware support
Microsoft SQL & Access Databases. Editing, creating and running database queries
Microsoft Visual Studio vb.net, aspx, Telerik controls.
Working with bug tracking tools, managing regression and feature tests
Software development and software testing life cycle
Microsoft IIS
This role is going to be 50% Software Support, 25% Software Testing and 25% Development.
The role will progress to 50% Software Testing and 50% Development within six months.
All training and knowledge needed for the testing and support side of this role will be provided by the company.
Requirements and prospects
Qualifications Required:
GCSE Mathematics and English, grade C or 4.

Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems with Printer support.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL & Access Databases.
Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio vb.net, aspx, Telerik controls.
Understanding of software development and software testing life cycle
