Job description
Junior Network EngineerLocation: Norwich
Duration: Until end of March (Possibility of extension), Start ASAP
Rate: £160/day Inside IR35 (Band 5)
An NHS trust are seeking a Network Engineer to support the Network projects team in the provision and delivery of network and communication services on a range of projects. These projects will primarily be centred around upgrading existing network equipment and ensuring that the projects are completed to schedule.
Responsibilities
- You will work as part of Network Refresh Project Team and be expected to work alongside other project engineers within Digital Health.
- Ensuring that network solutions are delivered to a high standard.
- Providing a high standard of quality assurance on all projects.
Skills/Experience Required
- IT networking experience, CCNA, CCNP or equivalent would be desirable.
- IT network configuration, Cisco switches, Wi-Fi access points and controllers, firewalls.
- Good knowledge of IT network cabling, Cat5e, Cat6, Optical Fibre.
- Good understanding of the concept of building physical IT networks.
- Good IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office suite.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational skills, and a willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements.
- Occasional travel to other project sites.
