Job description

Junior Network Engineer
Location: Norwich
Duration: Until end of March (Possibility of extension), Start ASAP
Rate: £160/day Inside IR35 (Band 5)

An NHS trust are seeking a Network Engineer to support the Network projects team in the provision and delivery of network and communication services on a range of projects. These projects will primarily be centred around upgrading existing network equipment and ensuring that the projects are completed to schedule.

Responsibilities
  • You will work as part of Network Refresh Project Team and be expected to work alongside other project engineers within Digital Health.
  • Ensuring that network solutions are delivered to a high standard.
  • Providing a high standard of quality assurance on all projects.

Skills/Experience Required
  • IT networking experience, CCNA, CCNP or equivalent would be desirable.
  • IT network configuration, Cisco switches, Wi-Fi access points and controllers, firewalls.
  • Good knowledge of IT network cabling, Cat5e, Cat6, Optical Fibre.
  • Good understanding of the concept of building physical IT networks.
  • Good IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, and a willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements.
  • Occasional travel to other project sites.
