Job Title
Robotics Compliance Engineer
Job Description
The right candidate will have a good knowledge of the global industrial regulatory framework. They will understand the importance of safe machine design in accordance with the many regional legislative requirements around the world, and guide the design/development teams towards improvements.
The candidate will also demonstrate good communication and presentation skills to assist with training all HYG and dealer stakeholders as we embark on a new chapter in industrial truck design and use.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related product development
  • 4-5 years’ work experience in a design related role
  • Sound understanding of engineering practices e.g., electro-mechanical systems, engineering calculations, and engineering analysis (including Design and Production FMEA’s)
  • Experience in testing of mechanical and/or electrical systems and sub-systems
  • Strong working knowledge of functional safety and risk assessment standards (ISO 12100, ISO 13849, etc)
  • Good presentation and communication skills engaging with design teams and senior management
Highly Desirable
  • Ability to lead design reviews
  • Understanding of electrical systems and schematics
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems and controls
  • Ability to devise tests focused on system verification and validation to requirements
  • Ability to analyse test results and feedback to design teams with potential proposals for improvement
  • Familiarity with functional safety assessment tools (for example, SISTEMA)

Other Desirable (not essential)
  • Prior experience in delivering training to new audiences
