Trainee Quantity Surveyor

£20,000 – £30,000

We are a leading mechanical and electrical company seeking a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in quantity surveying and gain valuable experience within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client

- Assist with the analysis of construction costs and preparation of cost estimates and cost plans

- Assist with the preparation of final accounts and other financial statements

- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors to ensure project costs are controlled and within budget

- Assist with the valuation of variations and the preparation of claims for additional work

- Assist with the measurement and valuation of works completed on site

Requirements:

- A degree or diploma in quantity surveying or a related field

- Strong analytical and numerical skills

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
