Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Information Technology Manager to join our Global IT Management Team. You will join a team of three globally based IT managers to oversee our global IT infrastructure and operations division.
As a manager you will be responsible for providing management and leadership within the EMEA IT team and globally. This position is responsible for accomplishing departmental objectives through effective team management, planning, and evaluating day-to-day department activities.
Your responsibilities will include the effective and secure oversight of our IT systems as well as day to day management of IT operations staff.
You will lead IT projects from inception to delivery and ensure that staff are supervised and supported thought project lifetimes.
We are looking for an individual with IT management experience, preferably within an international organisation, the ability to travel internationally is necessary as well as flexibility to attend to issues outside of normal working hours.
Responsibilities for IT Operations Manager
  • Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
  • Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
  • Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.
  • Analyse business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs.
  • Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
  • Ensure systems are documented thoroughly and that knowledge is shared with both the rest of the IT department and the wider business.
Qualifications for IT Operations Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in IT operations.
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, and data storage systems.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritise.
  • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
  • Knowledge of networking technologies, preferably Cisco, and Windows and Linux server products.
  • Knowledge of task/project management systems, Atlassian Jira knowledge is desirable.
