Job Description

Due to company growth, we are now seeking a Data Analyst to join our product team with a focus on data visualization and developing interactive prototypes for data exploration and analytics. This role will have direct input into the creation of new products and has scope for significant client contact. Every day, you will be interacting with and learning from excellent product managers, data scientists, software developers and QA engineers in a friendly, collegial environment.


Responsibilities

  • Work with large-scale time series data & custom datasets from FXC’s strategic partners and clients
  • Prototype data visualizations and interactive tools for data analysis and exploration.
  • Work with FXC product managers, designers, and software engineers to productionalize successful prototypes
  • Identify and diagnose data inconsistencies and errors


Necessary Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
  • Python and / or R, SQL, and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with data visualization tools and packages, such as matplotlib, plotly, etc.
  • Considerable use of statistics in previous roles (including bayesian statistics)
  • 2-5 years work experience in data analysis
  • Nice to Have Technical Skills
  • Experience with AI/ML systems including ChatGPT, Bard, LLaMa
  • Familiarity with Javascript
  • Experience with team collaboration software (issue tracking, project management, document sharing, etc.)
  • Experience working with ETL/ELT workflows, schedulers (Airflow), and event-based triggers


Soft Skills

  • Outstanding client and internally-facing verbal and written communication, leadership, and negotiating skills
  • Able to communicate complex concepts to all different types of audiences
  • Assertiveness and resilience
  • Self-motivation and eagerness to learn
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Creative and nimble with ability to overcome obstacles to solve difficult problems
  • Flexible and responsive with ability to adapt to rapid change in direction or business priority
