We're looking for a full-stack developer/technologist to help us change lives!

If you love to code, are user-focused, and have a passion for promoting positive change in the world, Evergreen Life can provide you with a fulfilling work environment in which to apply your skills. Our small development team is looking for a strong self-motivated candidate with knowledge of design patterns and/or an opinionated framework. Ideally, you have been working as a developer for a while but haven't lost the interest that got you into development in the first place. You pride yourself on delivering a great experience to the user and are happy to go that extra mile to create a great product. We want to leverage your skills and provide you with more so we can fulfil our mission. We want to empower every individual on the planet to take control of their healthcare record and in turn, their health and quality of life in later years. We do this by combining mobile and web technologies with cutting-edge data science.

In return we offer a culture-oriented company with the wellbeing of our users, patients, and employees at the epicentre of everything we do.

About You:

  • You like the idea of using your skills to build software that really matters.
  • You have a history of delivering user-focused products and services.
  • You are an experienced Full Stack Developer with a passion for coding and a track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • You are well-versed in at least one front-end web framework such as React, Angular, Vue.js or similar.
  • You have commercial experience with back-end frameworks such as Express, Next.js, Node.js, Laravel, Spring, Django, or similar.
  • You are familiar with, or happy to venture out of your comfort zone and learn, cloud-based architectures written in Typescript and JavaScript
  • You are curious to learn about hybrid and app development
  • You are happy to work according to modern software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
  • You have experience working with either document and/or relational databases.
  • You have a reasonable understanding of web security, scalability, and performance.
  • You have a collaborative nature and are happy adopting the ideas of others so that on another day they may adopt yours.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with our product team to design and implement software solutions that meet the needs of our users and improve patient outcomes.
  • Be vocal in your passion for improvement and let your opinions be heard
  • Build and maintain scalable and reliable web applications, mobile apps and microservices using modern web technologies such as React, Electron, Express, and Node.js.
  • Use modern architectural patterns in AWS and Azure to take advantage of the benefits of cloud technologies
  • Develop back-end services using JavaScript, Java, PHP and AWS along with cloud-based databases to store and retrieve data.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Work in an Agile development environment, participate in sprint planning, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including designers, developers, and product managers, to ensure the successful delivery of software projects.

Requirements:

Technical Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
  • Strong understanding of modern web technologies such as React, Vue.js, Angular, and Node.js.
  • Experience with back-end technologies written in JavaScript, Java, PHP, or Python

  • Good understanding of web security, scalability, and performance.

Nice to haves

  • React native experience
  • IOS/Android development experience

Cultural Requirements

  • A collaborative mindset and a strong desire to work as part of a team that feels like a family.
  • Open to hearing other team members' opinions and ideas, and willing to contribute constructively to team discussions.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and grow, regardless of years of experience.
  • A problem-solving mentality and ability to work well under pressure as part of a team.

Benefits

  • Company pension
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Healthy Snacks
  • Flexitime
  • Wellness programme

At our company, we value our team members as individuals and believe that a supportive and collaborative environment is essential to building great software. We strive to create a culture that is like a family, where everyone's ideas and opinions are respected and valued, where you can come to work knowing you're among friends and feel positive about joining meetings each morning.

If you're looking for a team that is passionate about technology and is dedicated to building great software together, we'd love to hear from you.
