Role Overview & Responsibilities

Vet Direct is a multi-functional shop for progressive veterinary practices; fulfilling consumable, uniform, instrument and equipment needs. Our drive is our people; who are knowledgeable and passionate about customer care and animal welfare.


At Vet Direct, we're currently seeking a Customer Care Advisor to join our friendly, supportive team on a permanent, full-time basis.


Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Process orders accurately and advise customers of stock availability, alternatives and promise dates
  • Share your knowledge with customers to ensure they understand the product and how to use it
  • Make outbound calls to convert quotes and abandoned baskets to sales
  • Ensure all data fields are captured and updated accordingly with the customer
  • Have a proactive approach to gaining understanding of the customers' need or complaint and provide appropriate resolution that is commercially viable
  • Maintain good customer and colleague relationships through effective and positive communication both written and verbal

Key skills and experience required:

  • Excellent keyboard and computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with positive interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm and ability to learn about veterinary products and services and describe/explain them to customers
  • Experience of customer care and/or telesales, preferred but an ability to resolve issues in a commercially viable way essential
  • A team player with a high level of dedication and positive work ethos

In addition to a salary of £21,000 per annum, you will receive a range of benefits including:
