Role Overview & Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

Assistant Manager

35k Basic plus potential 10% bonus

As Assistant General manager you will support the general manager across Peppermint operations at Freight Island, with a focus on bar operations & cocktails. The role covers a broad range of skills and requirements which are covered in the key performance indicators below.

The AGM will oversee the internal and external wet outlets throughout the business ensuring stock GP & staffing targets are being met. You should have strong commercial thinking and exceptional planning, organisation and collaboration skills.



THE ROLE



  • Oversee the day to day operations & maintenance of the bars
  • Support the general manager with the tending process for new stock lines
  • Run quarterly menu reviews with the general manager & Peppermint directors.
  • Establish and maintain high standard of bar staff performance and exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure bar staffing levels are at the correct levels at all times and people are recruited into the right roles.
  • Ensuring on site targets are being met (staffing, stock)
  • Develop the team to be the best that they can be. Promote from within and build a team spirit to create a happy working environment.
  • Assist with recruitment & staffing procedures, with support from the team.
  • Oversight of drink menus
  • To ensure that company & venue policies are being upheld.
  • To ensure Peppermint and venue H&S is upheld doing spot checks.
  • To ensure that stock paperwork is being correctly completed by all departments.
  • End of night reporting to Peppermint directors.
  • Ensure that venue EPOS is working correctly and communicate any problems to general manager & Peppermint head office.

Operational responsibilities

  • Sign off on weekly site rota with the general manager
  • Place weekly stock orders for the following week
  • Weekly stock audits
  • Recruitment and training of bar managers & staff
  • Work with Peppermint FOH event managers to ensure customer service
  • Ensuring a 95% pass rate on cocktail specs for bar staff.
