<br>Have a strong track record of 'good' or 'outstanding' Ofsted inspection ratings.

<br>Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

THE ROLE

<br>Compass Associates have partnered exclusively with a national provider of specialist schools and children's homes to find a Headteacher for their new state-of-the-art specialist school for children with autism and associated needs. The successful candidate they will develop the school (to open January 2024) from the ground up; they will work with stakeholders to recruit and lead a strong staff team, introduce a new curriculum as well as appropriate policies and procedures, effectively manage the school's finances and referrals, and enable the best possible outcomes for pupils.

<br>The Headteacher will receive significant backing and support from the hiring organisation; support services - notably the recruitment team, human resources, and the finance team are all on-hand to assist in the opening of this school. Furthermore, this position will report in to the Regional Director, who is a veteran of the sector and can offer guidance if needed.

<br>THE CANDIDATE

<br>The employer is seeking applicants who are experienced Headteachers in the specialist sector who have a firm grasp of the current Ofsted framework, accompanied by a history of 'good' or 'outstanding' ratings. As a Headteacher in the specialist education sector, you will have developed a deep and nuanced understanding of autism and associated needs, and how to best support and educate children with these needs. As this role involves setting up a new school It is also essential that you hold QTS.
