The Company:

Our client is a leading service provider to the construction industry, providing security and access and logistical solutions to a wide variety of top tier contractors & developers throughout the UK including the likes of Balfour Beatty, Berkeley Group and Brookfield Multiplex. The services they provide include Traffic & Delivery Management, Material Movement & Management, Access Control & Site Safety, Waste Management & Recycling, Plant & Operative Supply, Temporary Electrics, Hoarding & Fencing, Minor Demolition & fit out works. Training and development is open to all staff within the business, and they will support staff of all levels in any way they want to further themselves both personally and professionally.

Vacancy Details:

We have a vacancy for a Procurement Assistant for the head office based in Rickmansworth. The individual must have confidence, flexibility and the ability to use their initiative. This is a responsible position with a varied work load. The individual must be highly organised and able to manage their time productively.

The responsibilities include:

  • Communicating with suppliers via email or phone to place orders, track and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Chasing purchase orders
  • Supporting the procurement and commercial teams
  • Keeping accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and receipts. Recording & payment of incoming invoices
  • Responsible for conducting research on potential suppliers, comparing prices and product specifications
  • Responsible for a range of administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining filing systems.
  • Packages: Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, Sage

Requirements:

Successful applicants will have prior experience of a procurement / commercial or financial assistant / administration position. Ideally you will have knowledge or experience of the construction industry however this is not essential.

Remuneration:

  • £14-17 p/h (dependant on level of experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
