ABOUT GUILDHOUSE SCHOOL
Guildhouse School offers an outstanding international pre-university educational experience to students aged 14+ from all over the world. Guildhouse students live and work in our beautiful periodic buildings studying for GCSEs, A levels and University Foundation Programmes, and preparing for admission to universities across the country and elsewhere. We pride ourselves on our approach to teaching and learning, with small class sizes and an informal atmosphere ensuring that students are treated as individuals and build great relationships with staff.
Guildhouse School operate a number of different educational brands within the CATS Global Schools group that also includes CATS Colleges in Cambridge, The Worthgate School in Canterbury, Bosworth Independent School in Northampton, Bournemouth Collegiate School, St Michaels School in Wales, CATS Academy in Boston; Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts (CSVPA) and Stafford House English language schools and study holidays. We benefit from being part of a global team focused on teaching and learning.
We are currently looking to appoint a day cleaner into the operations teams. This will support the teams throughout the schools day. You will be working 8.5 hour shifts per day Monday to Friday.
OVERVIEW OF THE JOB
Cleaning duties across all the College and School of English buildings, residences and grounds on a day-to-day basis. Health and safety awareness and knowledge is essential.
REPORTS TO
You will be directly responsible to the Cleaning Supervisor as part of the Operations Team.
- Cleaning toilets and communal areas throughout the day, ensuring the areas are clean and tidy by checking at regular intervals.
- Keeping outside areas free of rubbish
- Assisting Cleaning supervisor
- Assisting with legionella checks
- Escorting Contractors, when needed
- Reporting any cleanliness/health and safety/repair issues to line manager promptly
- Deal with all customers (students, staff, external) with courtesy and promptness at all times.
- Occasional duties in the canteen
- Any other duties required by line manager or Operations Manager
