Role Overview & Responsibilities

Mechanical Engineers we need you!

We are currently looking to expand on our engineering division due to massive growth within the aviation sector. We are looking for experienced mechanical/aircraft engineers to join the team specialising in the production and build of complex landing gear for large commercial aircraft.

This would be a fantastic opportunity for an apprentice trained engineer or an engineering graduate who has gained practical aircraft experience or heavy industry experience.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Mechanical assembly of landing gear or sub assembly components
  • Installation of Hydraulic and Electrical systems
  • Following engineering drawings and diagrams
  • Use of hand held tools and power tools
  • Manual handling of large aircraft components

The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:

  • Previous mechanical/electrical assembly experience.
  • Ideally experience within an aerospace/aviation manufacturing environment or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Understanding of manual handling and proficient use of MS packages.

The applicant would need to hold full- and long-term working rights within the UK.

The shift pattern would be on a double day basis:

week 1: 06:00-14;00

week 2: 14:00-22:00
