Role Overview & Responsibilities

Registered Veterinary Nurse

We are a new independent small animal practice in the heart of the Ribble Valley, at Mitton

Business Park, Whalley. We are an experienced two vet team offering both GP and some referral surgery/orthopaedic and ophthalmology services. Our building is currently being created to give us 4 consulting rooms, 2 operating theatres, and also dental and imaging suites. We are aiming to be open by mid-June.

We are looking for enthusiastic forward thinking RVNs to join our team to help grow and develop the practice.

Roles available:

  • Head nurse: We are looking for someone to assist with building and developing the nursing team, whilst setting the standard for exceptional animal care. Eventually we aim to be an RVN training practice so the candidate must be happy to mentor and clinical coach. The role involves all the usual nursing duties plus some management duties within the nursing team.
  • RVN: We are looking for RVNs who are motivated and enthusiastic. Communication skills are essential and being passionate about providing outstanding pet health care and customer service. The role involves all the usual nursing duties.

Competitive salary, CPD allowance, RCVS fees paid, 4-day week, 37 hours a week including 1 in 4 Saturdays until 12.30, paid lunch breaks, no out of hours, 5 weeks holiday plus Bank holidays, Birthday leave, staff discount.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small team and be involved in the practice from day one.
