Role Overview & Responsibilities

Main description

In addition to our annual tradeshows International Confex, The Event Production Show and The PA Show, we have a full calendar of awards ceremonies, conferences, summits and roundtables and we’re now looking to expand our operations team.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of the delivery of a range of small events throughout the year as well as being a pivotal member of the team in the delivery of our large exhibitions. This role is predominantly office based in Kingston upon Thames although there will obviously be significant time spent on site when delivering events.

The below is intended to be an outline of the duties and responsibilities for this role.

The Role

  • Exhibitor management
  • Adjusting exhibition floorplans
  • Liaising with venues for upcoming events
  • Assisting onsite with events
  • Collecting attendee guest information
  • Assisting in the organisation of the office
  • Training on exhibition registration, floorplan, and networking platforms
  • Delegate management

Candidate Profile:

  • Hard Working, Outgoing and punctual
  • Enthusiastic and motivated with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Works well under pressure
  • Negotiation skills
  • Time management

Skill Required:

  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Some prior experience working in events would be desirable

Training to be Provided:

  • In-house mentoring
  • Level 3 Event Assistant

Things to consider:

The apprenticeship programme and employment are inclusive of each other. You will need to demonstrate excellent levels of commitment to both the training and job role.

You will work at Mash Media 80% of the time, and study in further education 20% of the time.

Qualifications Required:

Five GCSEs at Grades A*-C or 9 – 4 (including English & Maths), Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths, or a relevant Level 2 Apprenticeship.
Future Prospects:
We will review all future progress based on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
