We are looking for inspiring, motivated, experienced or newly qualified individual to join a family run nursery in the heart of St John's Wood.


We are located in Barrow Hill Junior School annexe building and are a separate entity than the school. The setting operates term time only, so the candidate will have all the benefits of holidays.


The setting provides private pension via NEST.


The duties of a Nursery Teacher will include:

  • Leading the EYFS curriculum across the Nursery;
  • Encouraging children’s mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play;
  • Supporting the development of children’s basic skills, including physical co-ordination, speech, communication, curiosity and knowledge;
  • Taking responsibility for the progress of children;
  • Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage positive learning development;
  • Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class;
  • Maintaining discipline;
  • Observing, assessing and recording each child's progress.


The key attributes of a Nursery Teacher include:

  • Being passionate about preschool education and empowering our children to reach their maximum potential.
  • Having proven experience of working with children under the age of five.- Having a Degree in Education or similar and a QTS/EYPS/PGCE
