Role Overview & Responsibilities

Barnardo's Training and Consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Safeguarding Consultant to support the work of the consultancy team. The role will involve working in a commercial environment as part of a team responsible for safeguarding auditing, and safeguarding consultancy work. This post will be home based but with expectations about regular and extensive travel. A professional qualification and background are essential in Social Work, Education, Youth Work or equivalent. It will be important you have excellent skills in working together, a high level of professional integrity, are able to make sound judgements and provide advice on complex safeguarding matters. You should also have good skills in presenting both verbally and in writing and be able to produce quality reports. You will be part of a highly skilled team, working in a busy and demanding environment on a variety of audits and projects.

If you have substantial experience of working with and managing services for children, young people and families, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and thrive on new challenges we would like to hear from you.

A clear DBS is a requirement.
