Role Overview & Responsibilities
AVL is the world's largest independent company for the development, simulation and testing of powertrain systems (hybrid, combustion engine, transmission, electric drive, batteries, fuel cell and control technology) for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, construction, large engines and their integration into the vehicle.
Location: Coventry
The internship students will support engineering projects conducted within AVL. Predominantly this will be to support R&D activities but may include some support to experienced engineers in delivering commercial projects.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The areas where the students will support projects may include:
• Modelling and simulation
- Software development
- Programming and Scripting
- Support creation of documentation and databases
- Tool development and maintenance
YOUR PROFILE:
- Currently studying or completed an engineering or computer science degree
- A strong interest in the technical areas supported by AVL
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to solve technical problems with appropriate guidance
- Good at structuring and prioritising own work topics
- Interest and aptitude for programming, modelling and simulation
- Confident in discussing technical subjects with peers

Annual Remuneration: Due to UKVI compliance requirements, we are obligated to state the annual gross salary (full-time) for this position. The salary for this internship is £18,000.
