Job Description
<br><br>
We are currently recruiting for Civil Infrastructure Engineers, Across All Levels to be a part of an established, experienced national civil engineering team, with a base in AECOM’s multidisciplinary Birmingham headquarters.
<br><br>
You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of significant development infrastructure projects (across all stages of development), for a range of Clients.
<br><br>
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to, and be part of, a proactive learning environment within a wider national community of infrastructure engineers.
<br><br>
<b>Role Responsibilities:</b><br>
+ Be responsible for and undertake design or elements of design, with appropriate support and supervision.
<br><br>
+ Manage or contribute to management of the technical, financial and management requirements of projects.
<br><br>
+ Play an active part in the project assurance process, including taking part in technical reviews.
<br><br>
+ Provide a client focused service which results in on-going satisfaction and repeat business.
<br><br>
+ Build effective relationships within teams across the organisation.
<br><br>
+ Mentor developing graduates.
<br><br>
For Senior & Principal Roles
<br><br>
+ To be commercially aware and able to lead a team of engineers and technicians, to programme workloads and successfully deliver projects to time, budget and quality.
<br><br>
+ Checking, auditing and approving the work of others
<br><br>
+ Bidding, work winning and marketing. Production of fee proposals and resource forecasting
<br><br>
+ Team development and mentoring
<br><br>
Qualifications
<br><br>
We recognise a variety of experience and backgrounds may suit this role.
<br><br>
Without being prescriptive we are seeking the right blend of skills from the following list, with the understanding that experience levels in specific technical areas may vary.
<br><br>
+ Civil Engineering Degree and/or master’s degree
<br><br>
+ Relevant
Experience in UK development related infrastructure engineering; likely to be from a private/consultancy background.
<br><br>
+ The ability to produce the design of highways, access roads and infrastructure of development projects including the design of road geometry, public realm, earthworks, pavements, drainage and services.
<br><br>
+ To understand and have experience of relevant standards and guidance.
<br><br>
+ A knowledge of road design using 3D computer modelling packages, such as Civil 3D.
<br><br>
+ A knowledge of drainage design including piped systems, SuDS based systems and familiarity with storage design and computer programs such as InfoDrainage.
<br><br>
For Senior & Principal Roles
<br><br>
+ Preferably be Incorporated or Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
<br><br>
+
Experience of dealing with clients and other members of the professional team
<br><br>
+ Successful track record of building client relationships and identifying, pursuing and winning work.
<br><br>
+ Experienced in supervising and developing staff.
<br><br>
